About Me

My name is Ben Skipper, I’m twenty years old and I’m a student of Journalism at a London university. There are many things I like to do in my spare time. I listen to music, play games, chat with friends, watch films of course but most all I love to write. I’m not the greatest, nor will I ever be, but I’m always looking to improve and I am, albiet very slowly. I have another blog for my video game love called The Video Games Ate My Baby but I needed a new focus and a fresh blog to pimp out to the wider interwebs. I hope you enjoy what you read as much as I enjoy writing them.

I’m a bigger fan of films than my budget or free time will allow, for every film I can afford to see in the cinema there are three more I can’t. On this blog I wont pretend to be an all knowing film snob, but I won’t be the voice of the uninformed majority either . My aim is to review the latest and biggest releases as best I can and put across I could point as I do so. If my knowledge of cinema expands as a consequence then that’s hardly a bad thing is it?

  1. Hey! I loved your view of Twilight saga! And I also love watching films, but I’m not very good at criticizing them. I wanted to know your opinion about Avatar and The Wolfman, the two films that recently I’ve been watching more.

  2. I thought Avatar was great but not amazing. I’d give it ****, one added for the visual effects. I haven’t seen The Wolfman

    • Well, it’s one of my favorite films. I have a friend who says the plot is horrible, but I like, it’s romantic. You have to watch The Wolfman, nothing like a real werewolf!

      • The plot is very very weak in my opinion, it’s held together by the effects and the final third. I meant to see Wolfman in the cinema but I never got round to it

  3. Well, at least is a film of ecological awareness and that to me is worth something. In cinemas here this film was censored for minors of 18 years, I asked my mother to accompany me but ended up not happening. When I watched I thought an exaggeration, it just have a little blood, and look I’m very fearful.

  4. Very well put together Blog. Will be returning!
